We recommend Martin Weisfuse and his staff without reservation. Steve had a very serious motorcycle accident in 2001 that in addition to resulting in a brain injury, lacerated liver, compound leg fracture, broken clavicle, broken ribs and punctured lungs, caused him to develop a hernia that required surgery.
The surgery was supposed to be the least of our worries after surviving the accident. The doctors told us it would be simple and at most would require a one-day hospital stay. Months later Steve was still in the hospital, most of the time spent in ICU, battling back after doctors told us there was nothing more they could do for him. Needless to say, the surgery and its aftermath were one of the worst experiences of our lives and unspeakably difficult to our children.
From the day we met Marty (who came highly recommended by our daughter’s former law firm colleagues), we felt that he was the right person to handle our case. It required endless conversations with both of us, poring over years and years of doctors’ notes, locating the right experts and meetings with several doctors, and — most of all — dedication to us and our case.
We always felt that Marty viewed us not just as clients; he genuinely cared about what was best for our family, and fought constantly over the course of seven years to get just that. He always kept us informed and showed compassion for what we were going through. He never gave up, no matter what obstacles were thrown his way.
When you go through a horrible experience as we did, it sometimes feels that the people you are looking to for advice and guidance somehow lose the practical and personal and fail to see how life’s misfortunes affect you as a person. Marty and his team were consummate professionals but that never overrode their compassion, caring and understanding. He got us a better result than we could have hoped for and, in the end, we had not only a wonderful lawyer but a friend.
I am writing to thank you again for the work which you did for me after I was severely injured by a taxicab in 1998. I was quite pleased and impressed working with you, and experiencing your expertise in preparing for trial, as well as your presentation of the case in court. It was satisfying to have been awarded a substantial settlement, although as I always said, my successful physical recovery was the most important thing to me. I wish you all the best with your practice in the future, and I give my highest recommendation to anyone looking for excellent personal injury work, as well as kindness and compassion.
The professional services rendered by Weisfuse & Weisfuse and staff enable me to resume my life following medical malpractice and permanent disability. The sincere emotional support I received from Weisfuse & Weisfuse and staff enabled me to keep going during the darkest days of my life. I owe my future to Weisfuse & Weisfuse. It was a privilege dealing with them.
My grandson suffered a traumatic brain injury that resulted in aphasia, loss of mobility on his right side and numerous other life-altering conditions … (as a result of a motor vehicle accident). For approximately five years, Mr. Weisfuse, his attorney, met with my grandson wherever he was. He always treated him with dignity, great compassion, and respect. Our family grew to admire and respect him not only as an able lawyer but also as a human being.
Until the conclusion of the case and beyond, he was always either immediately available or quickly returned our calls. I would have no hesitation in recommending him and his team to anyone requiring the services of his legal specialty. Although our case with him is complete, he has assured us that he is always available should questions arise – – and he has been.
When my nephew, Herbie, was in a serious car accident in 2005, our lives immediately began to revolve around daily extended visits to the ICU, where we were told that his chances of survival were minimal and that if he did survive, he would be, in the words of one particularly sensitive doctor, a “vegetable.”
During this period, we had no time to think about the legal aspects of Herbie’s injury; we were too consumed by his perilous, terrifying medical situation. But in fact, this is also exactly when you need to look into finding a lawyer. And as it turns out, finding an able, compassionate attorney to speak for you and navigate the legal ramifications of such an injury can have a profound impact on your loved one’s future well-being.
We are extraordinarily fortunate that my mother had recently met Martin Weisfuse through a separate case involving her workplace. My mother’s initial impressions of Mr. Weisfuse had been of a warm, sincere, hardworking lawyer. Still, we did not immediately hire him for Herbie, thinking that we should at least speak to several other attorneys. Suffice it to say that we were most impressed by Mr. Weisfuse.
Over the next four or five years, we would find out just how exceptional he was. Time and time again, he extended himself well beyond his duties as our personal injury lawyer. Not once did any of us ever contact him and hear a note of impatience or irritation or anything less than a sincere concern and desire to make sure that we understood the status and details of the case.
Mr. Weisfuse also pursued the case tirelessly and, I believe, got us the best-possible settlement. No amount of money could have compensated my nephew for everything he has lost, but ultimately, the settlement Mr. Weisfuse did obtain for him has made the difference between my nephew, now in his mid-20s, possibly spending the rest of his life in a nursing home, and being able to live at home, with assistance, and pursue some degree of independence.
We will forever be grateful to Mr. Weisfuse for his contributions in helping Herbie to come home. As I wrote in an e-mail to him at the conclusion of the case, “I want to thank you again for all of your hard work and for your kindness. As far as I’m concerned, you represent the best of the legal profession!”
I would just like to thank you for representing the … family in our recent lawsuit. …You did an outstanding job in getting excellent points across and proving what our situation was, the right one. It was a pleasure to have someone like you representing us, caring for us, and understanding all of our needs. … You did a great job in understanding everything and working with us. I thank you for the time you spent working with us. … Thank you so much for your help on behalf of the entire family, and we greatly appreciated you working your hardest for us. You did an outstanding job. … Thank you.
Weisfuse & Weisfuse, LLP provided extraordinary service and achieved for me a very substantial and fair settlement in my recent malpractice suit against a major medical facility. In achieving this success, Martin Weisfuse brought his decades of legal experience, his tenacity, wisdom, and compassion to what might otherwise have been an emotionally difficult legal proceeding for me. My heartfelt thanks to Weisfuse & Weisfuse.
Wanted to thank you for your excellent service. I am very pleased with the results.
